MERA at Spring Festival in TH Cemetary Park

Mark Taylor (Chair) and Lene Milaa (Secretary) and other committee members of the Mile End Residents Association staffed the MERA stall at the Dickensian Themed Spring Festival held in Tower Hamlets Cemetary Park last Sunday.

On sale were donations such as books, video’s, DVD’s, bird feeder, coins, plants, and a few toys.

We gave out a small MERA newsletter, met old contacts, established some new ones and all in all had a great day out.

Thanks to the Friends of the Park for letting us take part again this year.

The next events in the Cemetary Park are:

• the Save our Butterflies! Event in partnership with Butterfly Conservation on Saturday 19th May 2012 10am to 3:30pm
• the Guided Walk on 20th May 2pm - 4pm. Have a guided tour of the park learning all about the physical and/or natural history. These are usually held on the 3rd Sunday of the month and there will be another one on 17th June.
