Planning Condition 15 states that any hammer driven piling or impact breaking required to carry out the development.....must only be carried out between the hours of 10.00 hours to 16.00 hours Monday to Friday.
Today at 4.15pm, the Chair and Deputy Chair of MERA observed contractors engaged in using a JCB with a pneumatic drill to break up the hard surface of the car park below Ennerdale House (ie impact breaking)
This incident will be formally reported to the Head of Development Control and the officer in charge of the Enforcement Investigation of the breaches of planning permission and conditions relating to the Eric & Treby Estate Redevelopment.
