|The notice on the gate of the main Telford Homes Site Compound next to Ennerdale House|
So WHY ARE THESE GATES BEING LEFT OPEN most of the time?
The reality is that the site needs to be made safe taking into account the context in which it operates.
Does the Telford Homes Site Manager not realise that:
- not all children can read?
- a number of parents only speak English as a second language
- not all adults can read English?
- building sites are magnets for kids who don't know any better or don't care about the rules.
MERA is keeping a record of every time we see the site gates left open and unattended and will be reporting on this to "our man" at the Health and Safety Executive which is responsible for overseeing and regulating how developers maintain the safety of building sites in London
